1- I stayed a little bored with that comment.

Embora o sentido em português seja de “ficar chateado’, não dizemos isso em inglês. O verbo stay indica permanência em determinado local ou hospedagem.

Assim:

I was / got / a little bored with that comment.

When we were in New York, we stayed at the XXX Hotel.

I can’t stay with you today.

2- I am not understanding what you want to say.

Lembram-se dos non-actions verbs? Verbos que indicam estados mentais, emocionais, gostos, preferências, posse, sentidos, aparência, etc. e que não admitem a forma progressiva (ing- form)?

Forand to together? Forget about it!!!

Temos duas formas para expressar a mesma ideia:

He could have left the report on his desk to use it in the morning.

Or

He could have left the report on his desk for using it in the morning.
